Brad Schow (1958-1986)

Bradley Wayne Schow was born in Preston, Idaho, on October 30, 1958. He died in Pocatello, Idaho, on December 5, 1986. He is survived by his parents Wayne and Sandra Schow, and his brothers Roger, Ted, and Mike.

From the book, Remembering Brad: On the Loss of a Son to AIDS, written by his father H. Wayne Schow:
"Brad was twenty-eight years old at the time of his death. After high school, he spent two years at university studies (in Pocatello and Salt Lake City), dropped out to move to Los Angeles, and returned after four years to continue work in Logan, Utah, toward a degree. At the end of his second year at Utah State University, he came home to Pocatello for the summer to help us construct a new residence. But the AIDS virus had begun its deadly work, and so it was not carpentry but confrontation with disease that would engage him immediately and for the remaining year and a half of his life” (page 3).
