Garth Gwinn (1961 - 1991)

Garth Miller Gwinn was born 6 Jun 1961 in Provo to Albert and Eve Gwinn, and died Mar 23, 1991.

Tribute by Connell O'Donovan:

Garth was a shy, quiet man, always with his nose in a book. He lived for some time at "Leila T. Ethington's Home for Wayward Boys and Cats" on 2nd Avenue and N Street in Salt Lake City for many years. Leila was a Mormon matron in her 80s who adored Gay men and opened up her home as a boarding house to several of us as Gay Mormon boys. When Garth moved out of Leila's to go to college, I moved into his room. Garth went to Dublin, Ireland to attend Trinity College, where he got his degree in Classical Languages. I only knew Garth briefly, but his Gay brother was my first love, so I heard a lot about Garth second hand. After a long and painful struggle with HIV and AIDS, Garth died in his brother's arms.
