Thomas Brent Lindsey (1953 - 1989)

Thomas Brent Lindsey was born March 29, 1953 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Glenn and Ruth Lindsey. Thomas was a co-founder of the People with AIDS Coalition of Utah. He died from AIDS on June 21, 1989 in San Francisco at the age of 35.

Tom came out in the San Jose Mercury News on February 28, 1988 when he spoke about the stigma of being a Gay Mormon with AIDS. The Mercury News quoted him briefly: "People are so afraid to come forward that by the time they seek medical help, it's too late."
