When his partner Quinn McKinnon died in 1994, Don wrote the following: Quinn, you never promised me a rose garden. Thanks for all your special gifts. I remember sharing precious times with Quinn as we walked in the beauty of his "secret garden." And together we knew that the light of Heavenly Father is for all time and that his love is for all men. I celebrate and treasure Quinn's happiness, his joy and freedom.
