Randall Carey Long was born August 10, 1949 in Bethesda, Maryland to Donald and Harriette Long. He died of AIDS complications on June 24, 1984.

From Los Angeles Chapter Newsletter, August 1984, p. 1:

Randy Long, an Affirmation member for several years in the Los Angeles chapter, passed away June 24, 1984, after a long-term illness. Randy was known for his generosity and support of help-centered causes in the gay community. We will miss Randy, but can further his love by our helping others as he often did.
