Rio de Janeiro, Brazil Screening of “Families Are Forever”

BRAZIL is next! “Families Are Forever” - the Family Acceptance Project’s moving documentary of a devout Mormon family’s journey to accept and support their young gay son – will screen in both English and Portuguese at the Rio Gay Film Festival in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Saturday, July 5 and Thursday, July 10, 2014 in the International Short Film Competition. “Families Are Forever” has received numerous awards, including the 2014 Voice Ally Award from the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles, the first ever Affirmation Tree of Life Award, and most recently, the Best Documentary Award from Iowa’s Snake Alley Festival of Film. Come see for yourself how this film has touched hearts and opened minds, and invite your family and friends to feel the power of a family’s unconditional love for their gay son.
“Families Are Forever” will be screened in shorts program 10 (Curtas 10), which will be shown twice on July 5 and once on July 10. The July 10th showing will be at 4:10 p.m. at the Federal Court Cultural Center at Avenida Rio Branco 241, Centro, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (as shown on the map below). Advance tickets for this screening will be sold for R$12 (full price) and R$6 (half price) starting on July 4 at 1:30 p.m. in the box office of the Federal Court Cultural Center.
