(From: "In Memoriam," Affinity, September 1985, p. 3) It is with sadness that Affirmation belatedly acknowledges the passing of David Goodstein on June 22, 1985 at the age of 53, from complications following surgery for cancer of the colon. Many members of Affirmation were acquainted with David from their participation in The Advocate Experience and from the occasions when David addressed Affirmation in general meetings. Many others knew him as publisher of, and regular contributor to, The Advocate.
