Anti-Gay LDS Activities     

The latest attempt by the Mormon church to ban gay marriage puts me in mind of the parable of the dog in the manger which, though it had no use for straw, would not let the oxen eat it. In the same way, the Mormons would deny others something that they have no use for and which can neither help nor harm them. And it is especially ironic to read, on the day set aside to celebrate our independence from one ancient tyranny, that the unelected and the self-anointed are yet again trying to transform their private prejudices and religious beliefs into the law of the land.
