Cornerstone 2002 Will Be Held in Salt Lake City
On April 6-7, We Will Discuss New Horizons
March, 2002
Dear Affirmation Friends,
Cornerstone 2002 (Affirmation's yearly planning meeting) will be held in SLC April 6th and 7th. The
theme of the meeting will be "New Horizons" and will focus on topics, such as....
1. Establishing working relationships with other GLBT and Mormon groups.
2. Our expanding International efforts
3. Affirmation OnLine (including the Chapter-At-Large and reviews of our new online Affinity)
4. Local Chapters and other local Affirmation "face to face" efforts
5. Affirmation's new initiatives, including the YearBook, Writer's Award etc.
Participants in past Cornerstones know that these meetings are "think tank" opportunities and not merely "talk head" sessions.
Your participation is greatly needed. At the beginning of this Millenium, Affirmation is facing tremendous challenges and opportunity and it will take the efforts of our "entire village" to intelligently move forward.
Friday evening, April 5th early arrivers will enjoy Salt Lake Chapter's annual Missionary Reunion (More information about the Missionary Reunion will be soon available at the
Wasatch Chapter website.). Saturday morning and afternoon and Sunday morning we will hold our meetings. Saturday evening all who wish will head out to a fun evening on the town.
To register (required), receive information about lodging availability, location of meetings, etc. contact Hugo Salinas. Meeting location will be given to folks who register in order to secure privacy.
In order to encourage as many to participate as possible, there will be no registration fee. There will be a suggested donation (not required) of $20 to help cover food.
More information to follow, but mark your calendars and make your reservations now!
Love,
Scott MacKay
