www.affirmation.org/nyc  Affirmation New York Celebrates Pioneer Day by Patxy Paguero 22 August 2005 This past Sunday, August 7, 2005 was a magnificent day for Affirmation NYC. The celebration of Patxy's 20th something birthday along with our 3th meeting, with a luncheon held at his apartment was a great impact in the affirmation community. Approximately 20 people went to the event--("The Friends Who Lunch"). The day was a beautiful one!! Among the guests we had Roman Feeser, who's working in his new book call Later Gay Saints; also Rob Lauer, who's been involved in Reform Mormonism, which is a new movement (currently a home-based religion) that is accepting gay & lesbians (See en.wikipedia.org/ wiki/ Reform_Mormonism and www.reformmormonism.org). At the luncheon, guests enjoyed the food, entertainment, discussions, and everything else that we had to offer. After we launched on June 2005, Affirmation NYC, continued to growth in every meeting. Again, thank you all for your attendance and support creating our group .
