Carol Lynn Pearson
Plan-B Theatre Company Presents a Reading of Play-in-Development by Carol Lynn Pearson
The Play Is Part of the Utah GLBT Community Center's First Annual "Winterfest"

By Jerry Rapier

Facing East is a developing play by Carol Lynn Pearson (the author of Goodbye, I Love You) in which two LDS parents attempt to make sense of the suicide of their gay son. Facing East is a timely and frank discussion of the definition of family, given the passage of Amendment 3 last year and the current controversy over gay clubs in area high schools.

Ms. Pearson will be on hand for a discussion with the audience following the reading. Featuring actors Joyce Cohen, Kevin Doyle and Jay Perry.

Sunday, February 12 at 2:30pm
Black Box Theatre at the Rose Wagner
138 West Broadway (300 South)
Tickets are $15 and available via 355-ARTS or www.artix.org.

Running time: 90 minutes, including the post-show discussion with Ms. Pearson
