Carol Lynn Pearson to Speak in WinterPride Conference
Lunch Will Be Held Feb. 17 at the Sheraton City Centre Hotel

Author, poet, and playwright Carol Lynn Pearson will be one of the speakers during the Saturday lunch of the 2007 WinterPride Conference to held in Salt Lake City on February 17.

In a presentation titled “‘Us’ and ‘Them’ No More,” Pearson will help us renew our commitment to erasing the boundaries that divide us: gays and straights, Mormons and non-Mormons, Christians and Muslims.

Carol Lynn Pearson is the best-selling author of more than thirty books and plays. In her classic Goodbye, I Love You, she tells the story of her marriage to a homosexual man, their divorce, ongoing friendship, and her caring for him as he died of AIDS. Pearson shared her story on such programs as Oprah and Good Morning, America, and she has been featured in People magazine. Many of her poems have been widely reprinted in such places as the Ann Landers column and Chicken Soup for the Soul, as well as in college literary textbooks.
