For the fifth year in a row, Afirmación Chile participated in the Pride Day celebrations held in the capital city of Santiago. Leandro and I gave away over 450 brochures about Affirmation and its objectives to by-passers walking to the “Plaza de Armas” Square—the focal point of the festivities.

For the first time ever, we had a booth were we laid out Affirmation literature. Eleven by-passers expressed interest in participating, and nine left their contact information.

This year the main Pride Day show, which in the past featured drag queens, featured instead talented folk musicians, dancers, and singers from at least three metropolitan municipalities.

We closed shop at 3:45 as we ran out of literature, and the result was very positive. We feel the field is white, ready for the harvest, with many opportunities for progress, yet we feel we need more workers in the vineyard.
