Gratitude
There’s no doubt in my mind that pausing amid our daily activity to take note of what we have in our lives right now helps to calm and center us and renews our appreciation for what we might take for granted. Whether you share your gratitude for the world to see on social media or just silently count the blessings in your life, I hope you do find the healing power of gratitude as we begin the holiday season.
The anchor in each of our lives, whoever it is, who’s there when the times get tough, who helps our boat stay afloat and stop rocking so much in the storm until things calm down again, and who assures us that it will.
Do not be a victim. Take care of your wounds. If you can not handle them alone, seek professional help. Trying to heal where you have been hurt is almost impossible if your situation does not change. Purposefully separate yourself from those things or people that hurt you. No matter how bad your family members are, you cannot stop being who you are.
Affirmation is sponsoring a number of gratitude and service gatherings to be held during November.
