“Walking with Integrity”: Affirmation Utah Pride and the Affirmation Donor Dinner
Please join Affirmation for two major events in early June!
On Friday, June 2, 2017, at 7:00 p.m., at the Traverse Mountain Clubhouse, 4341 N Crest Ridge Road, Lehi, UT, Affirmation will be holding its Annual Donor Dinner. Speakers at the dinner this year will be:
- Bill Bradshaw, a retired BYU professor and father of a gay son who has worked for many years to educate individuals both in and outside the church about homosexuality
- Ryan Flores, a trans youth who has been a courageous and articulate advocate and activist for LGBT individuals in Magic Valley, Idaho
- Annie Jones, a lesbian youth who has compassionately worked to build support for other LGBT youth in her high school and community in Boise, Idaho
There will also be a musical performance by professional singer and songwriter and “Dragon Mama” Sue Krupa Gray.
The donor dinner is a charity fundraiser. Tickets are $100, and the proceeds — along with other proceeds from our midyear fundraiser — fund conference scholarships, support leadership development, and enable us to hire our first ever executive director. If you are not able to afford a ticket, please encourage friends, family and supporters who can to come join us, or maybe sponsor you!

On Saturday, June 3 & 4, 2017, Affirmation will have a booth and will be marching in the Utah Pride Parade! Booth organizers can always use volunteers! And all who wish to march in solidarity with LGBT Mormons are welcome to participate in the Affirmation parade contingent!
Marchers will be wearing a t-shirt with the Affirmation logo and the slogan: “Walking with Integrity.”
