In 2015, I found myself closeted, alone, and barely hanging onto life. Due to the kindness of a dear friend, I found out about Affirmation: LGBTQ Mormons, Families and Friends. Within a few days of seeking a connection on the website, I received a message saying, “Welcome, you are loved.” These four words carried me into authenticity and the ability to embrace all parts of myself in abounding Queer joy.

Since then, I have been proud to be part of the legacy of Affirmation leaders, members, and allies who continue to create spaces where individuals can land, heal, and be authentic; thereby saving lives, one person at a time.

As an international Queer-led volunteer-run organization, our mission is made possible through the countless sacrifices of time and financial donations from individuals like you who seek not only to save lives, but also to increase pathways of equity and human rights for marginalized communities. To help further develop our mission and vision of safety, love, and hope, we seek financial donations to continue our life-saving work and increase our programming efforts, including QPR suicide prevention training. Your donation will also aid in developing local chapter support, community service collaborations, and resources advancements as we engage in impactful conversation and create universal action plans with other organizations to eradicate injustice and hate in all forms. Likewise, your support increases the ability to reach individuals in the LGBTQ community globally, both virtually with technology resources and in-person scholarships.
