UU. y Canad\u00e1.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>El 17 de febrero de 2019, Affirmation, la comunidad de mormones LGBTQ m\u00e1s antigua y m\u00e1s grande del mundo, lanz\u00f3 una nueva iniciativa de desarrollo de cap\u00edtulos que llevar\u00e1 a la comunidad cara a cara en un viaje de 3 a 4 horas en 90% de mormones LGBTQ que viven en los EE. UU. Y Canad\u00e1.<\/p>\n<p>En los primeros 40 a\u00f1os de la historia de la organizaci\u00f3n, el desarrollo de los cap\u00edtulos se dej\u00f3 principalmente a la iniciativa local, y los cap\u00edtulos aumentaron y desaparecieron de forma independiente seg\u00fan la personalidad del l\u00edder local y la inversi\u00f3n de tiempo. En 2018, los l\u00edderes de Afirmaci\u00f3n comenzaron a crear un enfoque m\u00e1s estructurado y proactivo para el desarrollo del cap\u00edtulo con el reconocimiento de que no hay sustituto para la comunidad cara a cara, dirigida por pares, y reconociendo que la comunidad es un fuerte factor de protecci\u00f3n contra el suicidio.<\/p>\n<p>Se han organizado tres comit\u00e9s de \u00e1rea para supervisar las operaciones de Affirmation en todo el mundo. El \u00e1rea de Estados Unidos \/ Canad\u00e1 se ha organizado en 5 regiones con 33 cap\u00edtulos que tendr\u00e1n equipos de liderazgo de 4 a 12 miembros cada uno. Estos equipos organizar\u00e1n actividades regulares, dise\u00f1adas para ser accesibles a las personas que necesitan conducir una distancia para poder participar. Tambi\u00e9n movilizar\u00e1n a personas locales que puedan servir como mentores o amigos de las personas necesitadas, siempre que necesiten apoyo.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s del entrenamiento regular de l\u00edderes regionales experimentados, los l\u00edderes de los cap\u00edtulos recibir\u00e1n capacitaci\u00f3n formal, con unidades sobre los conceptos b\u00e1sicos del cap\u00edtulo; inteligencia emocional y formaci\u00f3n de equipos; liderazgo informado sobre el trauma; conciencia de raza, g\u00e9nero e identidad de g\u00e9nero; y capacitaci\u00f3n en prevenci\u00f3n del suicidio.<\/p>\n<p>Poco despu\u00e9s del lanzamiento de la iniciativa, aproximadamente la mitad de los equipos del cap\u00edtulo se completaron y los equipos restantes se finalizar\u00e1n a mediados de marzo.
