{"id":71201,"date":"2024-02-20T15:46:51","date_gmt":"2024-02-20T22:46:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/affirmation.org\/es\/?p=71201"},"modified":"2024-03-28T14:00:11","modified_gmt":"2024-03-28T20:00:11","slug":"a-modern-mom","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/affirmation.org\/es\/a-modern-mom\/","title":{"rendered":"Una mam\u00e1 moderna"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hace unos a\u00f1os una amigo nos regal\u00f3 a m\u00ed y a otra amigo una pulsera con colores LGBTQ. Esta pulsera fue muy especial para m\u00ed, pens\u00e9 que la hab\u00eda perdido, hasta que la encontr\u00e9 y fue de la manera m\u00e1s inesperada para m\u00ed. El domingo pasado mi mam\u00e1 me invit\u00f3 a los servicios religiosos de su barrio. La recog\u00ed en casa y nos dirigimos a la capilla, mientras est\u00e1bamos sentados en la reuni\u00f3n sacramental not\u00e9 que ella llevaba la misma pulsera con los colores LGBTQ que pens\u00e9 que hab\u00eda perdido. Cuando le pregunt\u00e9 si sab\u00eda qu\u00e9 significaban los colores de la pulsera, respondi\u00f3 con una mirada c\u00f3mplice y me dijo: \u201cQue soy una mam\u00e1 moderna\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Como no estaba seguro de si ella entend\u00eda completamente lo que significaba usar esos colores, decid\u00ed esperar hasta que terminara la reuni\u00f3n sacramental y preguntarle. Luego, cuando sal\u00edamos de la iglesia y nos dirig\u00edamos a casa, le pregunt\u00e9 nuevamente sobre el brazalete y me dijo que sab\u00eda lo que significaba. lo que signific\u00f3 y que para ella este proceso de tenerme como un hijo gay ha sido algo que ella toma lentamente, paso a paso. Mi madre es una mujer con profundas convicciones religiosas y como miembro de la iglesia SUD prefiere ir paso a paso entendiendo m\u00e1s sobre el mundo LGBTQ.<\/p>\n<p>Lo sucedido me hizo reflexionar sobre c\u00f3mo viven nuestras madres el proceso de tener un hijo gay. Me hace preguntarme si ellas tambi\u00e9n tienen que salir del armario y c\u00f3mo podemos ayudarlos a comprendernos mejor y as\u00ed apoyarnos mejor. En muchas ocasiones mi madre habla con otras personas sobre m\u00ed, dice cosas como que quiere que le d\u00e9 nietos o que espera que pronto encuentre una buena mujer y me case en el templo, pero en otras ocasiones me pregunta si ya tienes novio o cuando te presentar\u00e9 a su futuro yerno. Entiendo que para ella el proceso tambi\u00e9n ha sido complicado, hemos ido avanzando poco a poco en entender un mundo que ella desconoce, supongo que muchas madres pasan por lo mismo.<\/p>\n<p>Creo que una de las cosas que podemos hacer para ayudar a nuestras madres a comprender m\u00e1s sobre el mundo LGBTQ es intentar hablar con ellas sobre nuestras experiencias, lo que sentimos y contarles sobre nuestros objetivos. Uno de los principales temores de mi mam\u00e1 cuando supo que yo era gay fue que tal vez me convirtiera en una persona diferente y me distanciara de ellos. Desde que le abr\u00ed mi coraz\u00f3n a mi mam\u00e1, trat\u00e9 de involucrarla con algunas cosas que me estaban pasando en mi vida personal a veces ella no quer\u00eda escuchar lo que yo quer\u00eda decir pero aun as\u00ed no he dejado de contarles algunas cosas y poco a poco ella se fue involucrando. Este paso no lo he dado en unos d\u00edas ni en meses, es algo que he ido haciendo durante los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os. Cuando vi que mi madre conoc\u00eda el significado de la pulsera y sin embargo se lo mostraba con orgullo diciendo que es una madre moderna.<\/p>\n<p>Me hizo sentir que he recorrido un largo camino en este camino de autoaceptaci\u00f3n y que ella ha tambi\u00e9n; La afirmaci\u00f3n ha ayudado mucho en este proceso. S\u00e9 que no pasar\u00e1 mucho tiempo antes de que mi mam\u00e1 me acompa\u00f1e a otras actividades m\u00e1s LGBTQ. Mi objetivo es que alg\u00fan d\u00eda ella me acompa\u00f1e a una conferencia de Afirmaci\u00f3n y disfrute con ella de la familia que he formado en Afirmaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Para nuestras madres y nuestras familias, el mundo LGBTQ puede ser algo aterrador, algo dif\u00edcil de entender y algo que quiz\u00e1s les asuste, pero as\u00ed como ellos nos ayudaron a entender gran parte del mundo, nosotros podemos ayudarlos a comprender muchos aspectos de pertenecer a un mundo diverso. Ser madre moderna significa ser una madre comprensiva, una madre dispuesta a reconstruir sus conocimientos y olvidar sus prejuicios y aprender.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Disfrut\u00e9 mucho este domingo, mi mam\u00e1 se quedar\u00e1 con esta pulsera, que a ella tambi\u00e9n le gusta mucho.
