Eu nasci dentro das conven\u00e7\u00f5es da doutrina M\u00f3rmon. Testifiquei no primeiro domingo do m\u00eas. Participei de todas as prim\u00e1rias e das Mo\u00e7as.<\/p>\n<p>Meus pais se separaram quando eu ainda estava no ensino fundamental. Naquela \u00e9poca eu n\u00e3o conseguia entender o que estava acontecendo entre meus pais. Ficamos com minha m\u00e3e e meu pai veio nos visitar.<\/p>\n<p>Houve um per\u00edodo em nossas vidas em que minha irm\u00e3 e eu fomos morar com papai. Ele sempre nos disse para ir \u00e0 igreja. Ele sempre levantava cedo aos domingos, fazia o caf\u00e9 da manh\u00e3 para n\u00f3s e nos levava at\u00e9 a porta da igreja, mas n\u00e3o entrava. Sempre me perguntei por que meu pai, que sempre incentivava as pessoas a ir \u00e0 igreja, orar e ler as escrituras, n\u00e3o entrava na igreja com outras pessoas aos domingos.<\/p>\n<p>Quando eu tinha 10 ou 11 anos, minha m\u00e3e decidiu nos contar que nosso pai era gay. Parecia estranho que ele mesmo n\u00e3o tivesse nos contado, mas isso n\u00e3o mudou muito nosso relacionamento. Ele era nosso pai. Dois anos depois, ele encontrou-se comigo e minha irm\u00e3 para conversar, e com grande dificuldade nos contou o que j\u00e1 sab\u00edamos.<\/p>\n<p>No come\u00e7o, meu pai ser gay n\u00e3o era um problema. A coisa dif\u00edcil come\u00e7ou quando minha m\u00e3e tamb\u00e9m decidiu sair do arm\u00e1rio quando decidiu se casar com outra mulher. Foi como um dil\u00favio de \u00e1gua fria. Como posso ter os dois pais gays? Eu tinha feito algo errado? Deus estava me punindo?<\/p>\n<p>N\u00e3o tive muita coragem de falar \u00e0s pessoas sobre isso. Permaneci fiel na Igreja e tinha um grande desejo de servir miss\u00e3o, assim como meu pai. Senti que havia tomado a decis\u00e3o certa ao preparar-me para uma miss\u00e3o de tempo integral.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-20065 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/affirmation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/pai-e-filhan-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/affirmation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/pai-e-filhan-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/affirmation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/pai-e-filhan.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Mas em 2015, a Igreja lan\u00e7ou uma pol\u00edtica de n\u00e3o permitir que filhos de casais homossexuais sejam batizados a menos que tenham 18 anos, rejeitem o relacionamento de seus pais e se mudem de casa. Isso foi como uma faca no meu cora\u00e7\u00e3o, porque eu amava meus pais. Eu n\u00e3o poderia rejeit\u00e1-los. No entanto, eu tamb\u00e9m tinha o grande desejo de servir ao Senhor em uma miss\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>Como eu poderia tomar essa decis\u00e3o de vida? Como poderia deixar para tr\u00e1s tudo o que queria e amava? Depois de muito pensar, decidi que n\u00e3o poderia servir miss\u00e3o de tempo integral. Como eu poderia ensinar \u00e0s pessoas que a homossexualidade \u00e9 um erro, um pecado, j\u00e1 que meus pais eram gays e encontraram a felicidade em suas vidas? O amor que meus pais sempre me deram e com tudo que aprendi, minha decis\u00e3o n\u00e3o foi t\u00e3o dif\u00edcil. Eu apoio meus pais totalmente. Adoro eles. Eles s\u00e3o minha base. Eu sei que eles n\u00e3o fizeram nada de errado. Eles apenas seguiram seus cora\u00e7\u00f5es para encontrar a felicidade.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-20066 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/affirmation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/128n-e1537283083355.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"206\" height=\"125\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Estou muito orgulhoso de meus pais. Eu n\u00e3o os trocaria por nada nesta vida. Eu sou a prova viva de que ter pais gays n\u00e3o torna voc\u00ea gay. Sou heterossexual e apoio as pessoas LGBT 100%. Eu sou um membro da Afirma\u00e7\u00e3o, ao lado de meu pai.<\/p>\n<p>Hoje, estou orgulhoso de meus pais. Eu n\u00e3o os escondo de ningu\u00e9m. N\u00e3o acredito que tenhamos sido privados das b\u00ean\u00e7\u00e3os de nosso Pai Celestial.
