Naquele ano, um grupo de membros da comunidade de Afirma\u00e7\u00e3o compareceu e <a href=\"https:\/\/affirmation.org\/pt\/gayety-at-the-temple-gay-mens-chorus-of-washington-perform-at-dc-temple-visitantes-center\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AJ Jano partilhou a sua experi\u00eancia de assistir ao concerto<\/a>. Gregory Stowers cresceu como um santo dos \u00faltimos dias e cantou com o coro do templo este ano em 6 de dezembro de 2022. Ele teve a oportunidade de falar sobre sua experi\u00eancia de crescer gay e m\u00f3rmon durante o concerto.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Ol\u00e1, meu nome \u00e9 Gregory Stowers, e esta \u00e9 minha primeira temporada com o Coro de Homens Gays de Washington DC Quando descobri que est\u00e1vamos cantando aqui no Templo de Washington DC, eu sabia que queria a oportunidade de poder expressar meu pr\u00f3prios pensamentos e experi\u00eancias crescendo na igreja.<\/p>\n<p>Tendo crescido como santo dos \u00faltimos dias em Williamsburg, Virg\u00ednia, ganhei dois presentes. O amor pela m\u00fasica e o amor por Donny Osmond. Algumas das minhas lembran\u00e7as favoritas da inf\u00e2ncia s\u00e3o crescer cantando na escola prim\u00e1ria, aprendendo todos os hinos e tamb\u00e9m cantando no coro da igreja. Aprendi a ler m\u00fasica, a ouvir e a me integrar a um conjunto por causa da igreja. Eu tenho que agradecer \u00e0 igreja por estar aqui esta noite. Acho que muitos de n\u00f3s nos lembramos de ouvir o coro do tabern\u00e1culo cantar na \u00e9poca do Natal.<\/p>\n<p>Quanto a Donny Osmond, minha primeira exposi\u00e7\u00e3o foi v\u00ea-lo na grava\u00e7\u00e3o de <em>Joseph e o Incr\u00edvel Technicolor Dreamcoat<\/em>. Quando o vi vestido com aquela tanga, cantando \u201cfeche todas as portas\u201d, sabia que poderia haver algo diferente em mim. Acho que minha m\u00e3e, sentada ao meu lado, percebeu que algo estava acontecendo tamb\u00e9m. Tive o prazer de poder ver Donny Osmond no <em>Desfile da Colina Cumorah<\/em> em Palmyra quando eu tinha 16 anos, que parecia um c\u00edrculo completo, combinando meu amor pelo teatro musical e Donny Osmond.<\/p>\n<p>A vida \u00e9 cheia de momentos de c\u00edrculo completo.<\/p>\n<p>Meu relacionamento com a igreja \u00e9 complicado, como \u00e9 o relacionamento de qualquer m\u00f3rmon gay. Assumi-me aos 19 anos quando meus pais perguntaram se eu estava indo para a miss\u00e3o. Na verdade, a \u00faltima vez que estive aqui no Templo de DC foi para sentar no sagu\u00e3o enquanto o resto da minha fam\u00edlia viu minha irm\u00e3 e seu marido se casarem e serem selados no templo, me perguntando por que nunca me senti t\u00e3o sozinho depois de ser reprovado em minha entrevista de recomenda\u00e7\u00e3o para o templo. Eu me perguntei o que fiz para merecer essa exclus\u00e3o, e tenho certeza que muitas pessoas aqui e no mundo inteiro sentiram o mesmo.
