Europe Conference

We welcome everyone to join us for an exciting weekend of events in Central London.

When we affirm, strengthen and inspire each other we can create a loving, inclusive community for all LGBTQIA+/SSA people, and those who love them,

You are needed here! Your voice, your story, your talents, your loving heart, and your healing hands are needed. We each have individual callings that we need each other to learn how to fulfill. This weekend you will meet people who will teach you and be taught by you. You will deepen old friendships, make new friends, and make connections. You will become aware of new ways to serve and make a difference.

We look forward to welcoming you to London in July 2018. Including Pride in London, on Saturday 7th July 2018!

Friday 6th July

5:30 pm – 6:00 pm: Welcome / ‘What is Affirmation’ by Angel Arrocha

6:00 pm  -7:00 pm: Welcome Dinner

7:00 pm – 8:30 pm: Workshop by Tim Foskett from Pink Therapy

Saturday 7th July

Central London

10:00 am – 2:00 pm: Participation in the ‘Pride in London’ Parade. Join LGBTQIA/SSA Mormons, their families, and friends as we march through central London for the 3rd year running in the Pride in London Parade.

2:00 pm – 4:30 pm: Free time/’Gay is the word’ Bookshop visit / Meeting for lunch at Russel Square

4:30 pm – 5:30 pm: Workshop by Nigel Bull – ‘A Window of Life’

5:30 pm – 6:00 pm: Talk by Martin Juul Sörensen ‘The clumsy Drag Artist that happens to be a Latter Day Saint’

6:00 pm – 7:00 pm: Dinner & Social

7:00 pm – 8:00 pm: Talk & Q&A with Affirmation President Carson Tueller.

8:00 pm – 9:00 pm: Guest Panel with Q&A lead by Francesca Fotheringham

9:00pm – 10:00 pm: Dessert & Social

10:00 pm: London River Thames walk. Join us as we walk down the River Thames together looking at many buildings including the houses of parliament and the London Eye, that will be lit up for Pride in London.

Sunday 8th July

Hyde Park Chapel

9:00 am – 10:30 am: ‘Sit with us on Sunday’ We would like to invite all LGBTQIA+/SSA Mormons, their families and friends and anyone else who would like to join us for the morning. We will be attending church together at Hyde Park Chapel in London.

10:30 am – 11:30 am: Free time/ travel from Hyde Park to St Anne’s
