
Carolyn Gassert is a cisgender demisexual lesbian woman and uses she/her/hers pronouns. She grew up in the Mormon church in South Carolina, the oldest of four children. She is half Catawba Native American and feels passionately about racial equality. Carolyn is currently serving as the President of USGA at BYU, where she is a senior majoring in Psychology, with minors in Family Lite and Women’s Studies. She plans on attending graduate school starting next fall, with the end goal of becoming a therapist. She is hoping to work with marginalized groups, especially LGBTQ+ youth and young adults in Utah. She enjoys reading, collecting neckties, and spending time with friends.
