Board Member Application


The Board of Directors of Affirmation: LGBTQ Mormons, Families & Friends comprises up to fifteen individuals in addition to the Executive Committee dedicated to leading Affirmation and working toward accomplishing our mission and vision.

Members of the Board of Directors are responsible for providing the financial oversight required to sustain our fiscal health, develop policies to guide our operations, engage in fundraising and development efforts to fund our work, serve on and provide leadership to various committees and work groups, and generally serve as goodwill ambassadors for Affirmation at all times and in all places.

Potential members of the Board of Directors are nominated and voted on by current board members. By applying for board membership, you indicate to the current board that you are willing to be nominated for any open seats on the board. The application also provides you with the opportunity to share your reasons why you want to serve on the board, relevant experience, and skills.

You may apply for board membership at any time, even when there are no current seats open on the board. Your application will be kept on file for consideration when a seat becomes open in the future.
