Mental HealthStories and Resources for the LGBTQIA+ Latter-day Saint Community

Man Sad Mental Health

We know that the challenges of being at the intersections of sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, faith, and relationship with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints can have a significant impact on the mental health of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual, and aromantic Latter-day Saints or Mormons, whether they are currently active in or members of the Church.

While Affirmation does not directly provide mental health care to the LGBTQIA+ Latter-day Saint community, we do want to be a resource for our community to connect with culturally competent, professional, and affirming mental health resources. We also want to share the stories of LGBTQIA+ current and former Latter-day Saints who have been open about their mental health experiences.
