Every two years, voting members of Affirmation have the opportunity to elect a new president of the organization. Each election year, a call for candidates is issued one month prior to the Affirmation International Conference. This year, the conference is being held October 7-9 in Salt Lake City. It is time for Affirmation members seeking to be candidates in this year’s Affirmation presidential election to declare their candidacy.

The President of Affirmation serves for a term of two years beginning on January 1st following an election. The position of President is the only position in Affirmation elected by all voting members of the organization. The President appoints two vice presidents, and these three people form an Executive Committee that conducts the business of Affirmation along with the Board of Directors and a large expanded team of volunteers.

For more information, including a timeline for the election and how to declare your candidacy, please visit the Affirmation Presidential Election page on the Affirmation website. Questions about the election may also be submitted from that page.
