Affirmation at Utah Pride Festival and Parade (Volunteers Needed!)

Affirmation will have a booth at the Utah Pride Festival and participate in the Utah Pride Parade. The Festival is on Saturday and Sunday, June 4th and 5th. The Parade is on June 5th.

Volunteers are needed to staff Affirmation's booth at the Festival! It's important that we have volunteers at the Affirmation booth at all times during the festival. The days have been broken into time slots. If you can volunteer a couple of hours (or more!) during the Festival on Saturday and/or Sunday, please use this link to let us know.

Parade Info: Affirmation will meet no later than 10:40 AM to participate in the parade. Our designated area is STAGING GATE C at Entry #127. You will see Melissa Malcolm King's smiling face and a gigantic sign with our number on it. The gate is located between 300 w and 200 s near Carson's Kitchen and a nearby apartment complex. Download the pride app so that you can easily locate our designated area by visiting utahpridecenter.org.

Anyone marching in the parade must wear a sticker designating them to be there. Individuals will not be allowed to "jump in" to the parade line once it begins, so it's important that you meet us at our designated area before the parade begins.

Transportation: With limited parking, we highly recommend the use of public transportation or carpooling. Anyone with a Pride Ticket can ride the Frontrunner(the train that goes anywhere between Provo and Ogden), Trax (local light rail), and Buses for FREE ALL weekend! In general, UTA operates a free fare zone in Salt Lake City between North Temple and 500 South and 400 West and 200 East.
