ALL is hosting their 2022 ALL Conference on April 30, 2022, at the Red Mountain Center in Mesa, Arizona. Affirmation President, Nathan Kitchen, who lives in Arizona, is one of the featured speakers for the conference.
Affirmation mobilized to advocate for legal rights for transgender individuals and delivered a proclamation to local and national authorities. This is just a step in the process toward legal recognition of the dignity of these valuable children of Our heavenly Father who contribute so much to our country and the world.
The divisions caused by our divine varied identities are temporary. Our identities connect us with Our Father in more extensive and wonderful ways than we can imagine. We share a divine origin and a glorious future. We should celebrate the wonderful present, inclusive of the full colors of God’s creation.
Visibility is critical in the fight for progress. Just as Harvey Milk called upon gay and lesbian individuals to overcome prejudice by coming out, allies of the transgender community must support them as they also combat prejudice with visibility. We must do what we can to educate ourselves and those around us.
In Affirmation, we believe in creating spaces of peace, where all can benefit from love and understanding. Our contribution of one hour during One Hour for the Planet was a small step toward a brighter future, where all hours are hours of happiness for our planet

I am reminded of the young girl I was, who though not athletic like my sisters, would have given anything to just be included on their team even to just sit on the bench with the chance of maybe having my parents decide in late innings that we had a big enough lead to put me in right field!
We are excited to once again embrace LGBTQIA+ current and former Latter-day Saints from around the world at the 2022 Affirmation International Conference. After two years of being virtual, we are returning in person to the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, UT, October 7-9.
Affirmation Connections is a virtual summit that I hope will become a new annual tradition for Affirmation. This is a one-day virtual event being hosted on April 23, 2022, with seven sessions throughout the day to inform, uplift, and empower LGBTQIA+ current and former Latter-day Saints and their families and friends around the world.
