A single concert is only one step forward in a longer process of change and healing. In truth there is still a long way to go for the LGBT community can truly feel accepted and have a sense of belonging in the Church. Love is what we have in common, expressed in the voices of the chorus and reflected in the rising joy and hope in the hearts of everyone in the audience.
I feel God near when I sing. I know that He exists through this higher talent I’ve been given through voice. You, my friends, are where I see God’s light. For like you, God comes with no judgment of me. He loves me unconditionally and loves me for being the beautiful imperfect GAY that I am.
All LGBT/SSA Mormons, their families and friends, are invited to join us for a fabulous evening of learning, music, food, and socializing.
Friends and allies from many points along the spectrum of belief came together in Utah this Christmas season for a new tradition of gathering, support, and love.
