I do not know if this is a real change. I just can not imagine God saying, “do not baptize your children,” and three years later, “well, it’s okay, yes, do it.” It does not seem logical to me.
As we close out the year 2018, it’s a good time to reflect on all that’s happened over the year. This year’s top ten posts on the Affirmation website highlight many of the events and concerns affecting the Affirmation community this year, including the transition to a new Latter-day Saint First Presidency, a response to words out of general conference, a focus on suicide prevention, and more. Each of us needs to transition from confusion and discomfort to wholeness and peace, where we realize that our queerness is an intrinsic part of our worth and say, “I have worth,” and live according to that worth.

Gay Mormon activist Peter Moosman joined the hosts of 3 Mormons, a Youtube channel on LDS beliefs, to discuss what being a gay Mormon is like. In this episode, Peter shares his activism, coming out, and some ideas on how the Church can be a more inclusive place for LGBT Mormons. Peter is best known for his “Hug a Gay Mormon” sign he holds outside of General Conference.
