Affirmation Board Member Francisco Ruiz attended the Pride event in Monterrey Mexico, and reported, “People ask astonished, ‘Are there LGBTQ Mormons?’ I love that we can provide answers. Affirmation Mexico is committed to the objectives of Affirmation and increasing visibility and accessibility.”
This conference featured a much stronger emphasis on leadership development and training than ever before, with a five-hour-long leaders session on Friday, focusing on themes chosen by the Mexican leaders. Themes emphasized throughout the conference included emotional intelligence; wellness and resilience; diverse spiritual paths; and family support.

Affirmation – LGBT Mormons, Families and Friends in Mexico are excited to host the Third Annual Conference of Affirmation Mexico, which will be held from November 14 to 16 at El Ejecutivo Hotel in Mexico City, Mexico. Join us for a weekend of uplifting activities, including speakers, musical performances, a testimony meeting and visits to historic sites. Registration available now.
