What Is the Affirmation International Conference?
The Affirmation International Conference is the annual global gathering of LGBTQ+ individuals, LGBTQ Mormons, their families, friends, and allies. For over 40 years, Affirmation has created spaces of safety, love, support, and hope for those navigating the intersection of sexual orientation, gender identity, and faith within the Latter-day Saint (Mormon) tradition.
Each year, the conference brings together a diverse international community to:
- Connect with others at the intersection of faith and LGBTQ+ identity
- Participate in workshops, keynote sessions, and panel discussions
- Celebrate personal journeys in an affirming, inclusive space
- Build friendships and networks with others who understand their unique experiences
