Help create visible, affirming LGBTQ+ community spaces at Utah Pride on June 6–7 in Salt Lake City.

Affirmation: LGBTQ Mormons, Families & Friends is excited to participate in Utah Pride 2026 on June 6–7 in Salt Lake City — and we’re inviting volunteers from across Utah to join us.

Utah Pride is one of the largest LGBTQ+ community events in the Intermountain West, bringing together tens of thousands of LGBTQ+ individuals, families, allies, organizations, and supporters from throughout Utah and neighboring states. For many people, Pride is more than a celebration. It is a place to feel seen, supported, connected, and welcomed.

This year, Affirmation is continuing its commitment to rebuilding and strengthening in-person LGBTQ+ community engagement throughout Utah through Pride participation, outreach, and volunteer connection.

Why We Show Up

For LGBTQ+ people navigating faith, family, identity, belonging, or transition, seeing affirming community spaces matters.

At Utah Pride, Affirmation seeks to create:

  • welcoming and visible LGBTQ+ community presence,
  • opportunities for connection and support,
  • affirming spaces for LGBTQ+ individuals and families,
  • and moments where people know they are not alone.

Our booth and parade presence help create visibility for LGBTQ+ people connected to the Latter-day Saint tradition, including current members, former members, families, friends, and allies.

Every conversation, smile, shared story, and welcoming interaction can make a meaningful difference.

Volunteers Needed for Utah Pride Weekend

We are currently recruiting volunteers for Utah Pride on June 6–7.

Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Booth volunteers
  • Parade participation
  • Setup and takedown assistance
  • Community outreach and engagement

Whether you can volunteer for one hour, one shift, or the entire weekend, your support helps create affirming community spaces for LGBTQ+ people throughout Utah.

No special experience is needed — just a willingness to show up, connect, and help create belonging.

Volunteers From Across Utah Welcome

Utah Pride brings together community members from across the state, including:

  • Salt Lake City
  • Utah County
  • Ogden and Northern Utah
  • Southern Utah
  • Central Utah
  • rural communities
  • students, families, allies, and affirming faith communities

We would love to see representation from every part of Utah at Pride this year.
