A Valentine’s Day to Remember

“A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.” – Proverbs 17:17

Although every day is a day to give and receive love, in Affirmation Venezuela we joined the beautiful collective worldwide celebration to honor the most powerful feeling in the universe: love. That is why on Sunday, February 13, a large group of members of Affirmation gathered in the city of Maracaibo to commemorate this special holiday.

The main theme of the meeting was a participative talk given by family therapist Yris Ruiz, entitled: “Love Yourself, Always.”. In addition, the event included prayers, testimonies, songs, and a strong spiritual feeling that permeated the lessons learned from the love of our Heavenly Father. There was also an exchange of gifts, games, and refreshments.

The brotherhood that unites the members of Affirmation, in Venezuela and the rest of the world, is a reminder that love is the most powerful force that exists, and is the living testimony of Jesus Christ in every heart. Undoubtedly, this is the greatest and most valuable lesson learned on this Valentine’s Day: A reminder to bring love and light, through the message of Affirmation, to those who need it most.
