Celebrating the True Meaning of Christmas

2021 has been a year of blessings for Affirmation Venezuela since the organization of the chapter earlier this year. It’s a sign of the love of our Heavenly Father. For this reason, we came together to celebrate Christmas, recognizing the blessings received and hope for those yet to come. We hope that this is the beginning of the work to change the lives of so many of God’s children, whose colors shine as a testimony of the love of Christ in this earthly life.

It is for this reason that we came together to celebrate and commemorate Jesus Christ and his birth, coming to the earthly world. We also gave thanks for His infinite love and the blessings in our lives, especially for allowing our people to grow and contribute spiritually within Affirmation in our country.

While commemorating the birth of the Savior, we also addressed issues of personal and spiritual growth, such as grief that many experience at Christmas time, the value of self-esteem, and the power of gratitude as we face life’s challenges. As we met together, we were aided by Poelis Carrasquel, a therapist and leader of Mamás Ágapes in Venezuela. The meeting was also attended by members of Azul Positivo, an important nonprofit that develops programs for the treatment and prevention of HIV in our country.

In Affirmation Venezuela, we have faith in the true meaning of Christmas, believe that we should take the spirit of this holiday into our family lives. We believe that the love of Jesus Christ is a living flame, born anew every day, like the Sun that illuminates all, filling all with hope and love for each of the multicolored children of our Heavenly Father.
