“I didn’t really know what to expect from Affirmation, but what I experienced was profoundly spiritual, and it healed my relationship with my son. He knows now that my former homophobia is totally gone and that I love him unconditionally.”  Carol

“Then I was put in contact with Affirmation. My world changed. The loneliness and darkness lifted. I knew I was not alone…I FELT the love and support I had been desperately praying for.”  Carly

“Affirmation was a life vest thrown to a drowning victim; they were quite literally lifesaving. I sat and sobbed tears of relief and gratitude. In my solitude of suffering, and feelings of total isolation, hopelessness, and loneliness I had finally found voices that explained, lifted, and brought peace and acceptance.”  Rachel

These are a few of the many stories you can read on our website that demonstrate how Affirmation is blessing the lives of individuals and families.

Please Give a Final Gift to Affirmation in 2015

In 2015, Affirmation touched more lives than it ever has in its 36+ year history.  Generous donors like you made it possible for us to organize conferences in Argentina, Chile, England, Mexico, Peru, New York, and Florida.

Your donations helped 100 students and many international members attend our Annual International Conference in Provo, Utah.  Without your help they wouldn’t have been there.  We had 600 people from 12 countries attend this year and we increased the number of online resources and virtual and in-person community groups worldwide.

In 2016, our Portuguese website will go live and we will hold our first conferences in Brazil (Fortaleza and Sao Paulo).  With your help we can also support five recurring conferences in the same countries as in 2015, along with new conferences in Bogotá, Colombia, California and Missouri.

With the LDS Church’s new policies, more LGBT Mormons, their family members, friends, and even church leaders are anxiously reaching out to Affirmation for support and we expect that number to grow.  Our ability to meet this need and hold these conferences requires a significant investment of resources in the tens of thousands of dollars.

Your gifts make this support and these conferences possible.  We ask you to consider giving a generous year-end tax-deductible gift to Affirmation – $25, $50, $100, $250, $500, $1000, or more if possible.  If you would like to donate appreciated securities (e.g. stocks and bonds) or include us in your estate planning, email Chuck Brown at [email protected].

Thank you for helping us make all that we do possible.  You are not only helping people reconcile their faith, sexuality and/or gender identity, you are literally saving lives and restoring family ties.   Thank you!!!

Note: All donors giving $250 or more will be invited to a special donor appreciation dinner and program in the Spring of 2016 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
