Nathan Kitchen, president of Affirmation, will give an address at Utah Valley University on Thursday, February 17th at 11:30 am MST during the University’s Humanities Symposium. Affirmation offers its enthusiastic congratulations to Encircle on the announcement of eight new Encircle houses coming to various cities in Arizona, Idaho, Nevada, and Utah. The success of its first house in Provo, Utah helped uncover unmet needs in the local community, especially the need for a physical place of safety for LGBTQ+ youth to gather and make connections.

Nathan Kitchen has been elected to a second two-year term as president of Affirmation, with Jairo Fernando González Díaz and Rebecca Solen named as his choices for senior vice president and vice president, respectively.
Nathan Kitchen, current president of Affirmation elected in 2018, was the only candidate to submit a statement by the September 11 deadline. He has nominated current Affirmation Vice President Jairo Fernando González Díaz to become senior vice president and Rebecca Solen as vice president.
In the United States and Canada, these leaders oversee five geographical regions, connecting people as well as providing support for local chapter needs and growth.
