Candidates for Affirmation President must declare their candidacy by October 7th. Declared candidates will be announced at the 2022 Affirmation International Conference on October 8th. AffirmTalks is a workshop during International Conference featuring short talks, about 10 minutes in length, speakers are encouraged to share stories and insights that are educational, uplifting, or thought-provoking.
I couldn’t understand why I was being judged for wanting to be loved, understood, and cared for. I was at my lowest, looking for help. That’s when I found in Affirmation a home and a family where I was loved and could be authentic.
Affirmation Venezuela held its first conference. The theme was “Challenges of Freedom,” where attendees experienced God’s love to heal wounds and restore faith in themselves.
With the Affirmation International Conference being just 9 weeks away, I want to share with you what these conferences have meant to me and invite you to attend this year.
Each year, members of the Affirmation community have the opportunity to nominate Affirmation members who have significantly and positively impacted the lives of those within the Affirmation community to receive the Mortensen Award during the Affirmation International Conference. Nominations are due by August 30th.
Affirmation has helped me to rebuild my self-esteem. I’m grateful for being a part of Affirmation. I am happy in my knowledge that Jesus Christ lives and that he is my Savior.
Affirmation Venezuela highlighted their work during a community Pride event and was recognized along with other LGBTQIA+ organizations by the city council of Maracaibo.
We have to be strong in the face of opposition that seeks to place doubt and fear in the hearts of those succumbing to their lies. Facing those fears with kindness, patience, and full faith and confidence, the truth will eventually prevail.
