Registration Open for 2021 International Conference
July 18, 2021
We’re pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 2021 Affirmation International Conference! All within the LGBTQIA+ Latter-day Saint community, including current and former members of the Church, family members, friends, and church leaders are invited to register and participate in this year’s conference.
This year’s conference is being held virtually with sessions on September 11, 12, 18, and 19. Featured speakers confirmed so far include actor singer-songwriter Emmett Preciado; philosopher, author, artist & poet Blaire Ostler; and Parity Executive Director Rev. Marian Edmonds-Allen. More information on these speakers and the latest updates on our speakers and conference schedule can be found on the conference page at conference.affirmation.org.
Registration this year is open to all at no cost. With this in addition to the conference being virtual, our hope is that this conference is the most accessible and well attended of any conference Affirmation has hosted. Last year’s conference included speakers and attendees participating who would not have been able to attend this conference in person. We hope to see the same this year, with those in the LGBTQIA+ Latter-day Saint community connecting with each other from all parts of the world in safety, love, and hope.
While registration is available at no cost, there is a suggested donation of at least $35 to attend the conference. Those who donate can receive a limited edition enamel conference pin and t-shirt featuring this year’s conference logo and theme. For those who are not yet members of Affirmation, a donation of at least $35 can be used to become a member for the next year.
