Spanish and Portuguese to English Interpreters Needed for Virtual Meetings

Affirmation is seeking volunteer Spanish-English and Portuguese-English interpreters for various virtual meetings being held by Affirmation international and other Affirmation communities around the world. These meetings use Zoom’s language interpretation feature, allowing for simultaneous interpretation.

Those interested in volunteering should be comfortable simultaneously interpreting between Spanish and English or Portuguese and English or between Spanish, Portuguese, and English. Volunteer interpreters should also have access to reliable broadband internet, a quiet space to participate in meetings, and a reliable Zoom capable mobile device or computer.

Interpretation is needed for regular leadership meetings of Affirmation, including the Board of Directors and Executive Committee. Others meetings for which volunteers may interpret for include meetings of Affirmation areas, regions, or chapters, and leadership training meetings.

The schedule of meetings requiring interpretation varies, and it is our hope that we can identify a cadre of volunteer interpreters with varying availability so that these opportunities are shared among our volunteers.
