Learn more about the “best youth conference on the planet,” the youth track of the 2021 Affirmation International Conference. In this fireside, leaders of the youth track share their experiences and hopes for the youth attending the conference.
Over the years, this portion of the conference in memoriam has expanded included anyone that those within the Affirmation community have lost, whether they were lost to HIV/AIDs, suicide, COVID-19, or otherwise. This is an opportunity for our community to stop, pause, say their name, and be collectively empowered by their memory.
The creation of this role to support Affirmation Latin America and the hiring of Alejandro is a critical step in improving the organization of Affirmation in the area and increasing support for Affirmation leaders there.
Affirmation is pleased to announce the appointment of Vaughn Larsen as the president of the Affirmation Intermountain West Region. We are grateful for the willingness of all our leaders to volunteer their time and talents to create communities of safety, love, and hope for LGBTQIA+ Latter-day Saints and their families and friends.

God had told him to tell me I was okay. It took me more than thirty years to finally understand that. And when I finally understood and then looked back, I saw that God had been trying to tell me that all along.
Registration this year is open to all at no cost. With this in addition to the conference being virtual, our hope is that this conference is the most accessible and well attended of any conference Affirmation has hosted. Last year’s conference included speakers and attendees participating who would not have been able to attend this conference in person. We hope to see the same this year, with those in the LGBTQIA+ Latter-day Saint community connecting with each other from all parts of the world in safety, love, and hope.
Stay true north, find your authentic self and keep finding it. Try to see yourself a little more as God sees you, and rely less on the world to define you. Make friends with someone who’s not like you. Find something that needs shaking up, and then do what you can, but behave yourself. Keep learning and wondering what’s over there.
