Affirmation to Join Giving Tuesday on November 28, 2023
This GivingTuesday, Affirmation: LGBT Mormons, Families, and Friends will inspire generosity by holding local community and virtual events in cities and countries across the world for and by LGBT Mormons, families, and friends.
GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and their world. GivingTuesday will kick off the generosity season this year by inspiring people to give back on November 28, 2023, and throughout the year.
Affirmation is joining Giving Tuesday this year as it kicks off its Fall 2023 Campaign: A Joyful LGBT LDS/Mormon Holiday! Affirmation is asking all LGBT Mormons to share how they choose joy, whatever that looks like, in their lives but especially during the upcoming holidays! Stay tuned as Affirmation celebrates the JOY of living a LGBT LDS/Mormon life. On Giving Tuesday and everyday of the year Affirmation seeks to continue creating safety, love, and hope. It also seeks to be a refuge to land, heal, share, and be authentic.
GivingTuesday was launched in 2012 as a simple idea: to create a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past ten years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
