I still love the Lord, and I remember the spiritual and sacred events I’ve had in my life. I suppose this is the inner turmoil many of us feel as we reflect on our experience in the Church, who we thought we would be, and who we are today.
Affirmation Venezuela held its first quarterly film forum. The aim of his activity is to raise awareness of, educate, and discuss different issues that concern our community that as reflected by popular films. Over the years, this portion of the conference in memoriam has expanded included anyone that those within the Affirmation community have lost, whether they were lost to HIV/AIDs, suicide, COVID-19, or otherwise. An August 2019 El Tiempo investigative report titled “Inclusive Religious Make Up the Resistance” and featuring Affirmation Colombia won a 2020 Ortega y Gasset Award. The report highlighted several religious organizations inclusive of sexual and gender minorities in contrast to the efforts of conservative politicians and organizations in Colombia marginalizing this community.
